MCCP Testing

Medication Confirmation Compliance Panel (MCCP) is a unique urine testing panel that is tailored to assist physicians with patient care. Instead of solely focusing on Schedule 3 drugs, MCCP’s extensive panel prioritizes most commonly prescribed treatment medications, vitamin supplements, over-the-counter drugs, and recreational substances. This extensive test allows doctors to understand the quality of their medication treatment and depict any other supplements or medications that may affect the patient’s treatment plan. MCCP testing also allows physicians to monitor patient compliance with prescribed medications or possible unreported drug use, which may interfere with the treatment plan. This test will help if the patient is hospitalized after their clinic visit by being able to see if the patient has or has not taken prescribed medication.

Testing can:

  • Provide physicians with objective information regarding patients’ medication intake by testing for the medications or substances most accessible to them.
  • Be conducted when a physician suspects medication misuse.
  • Help when patients may not remember what medication they are taking.
  • Allow physicians to analyze how consistently or whether a patient has been taking the medications prescribed.
  • Help physicians determine if there are any other substances being consumed by the patient that might increase the chances of side effects or alter the effectiveness of the prescribed medications.
